Traffic Accidents

TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS
Traffic accidents is a harmful phenomenon which causes enormous
numbers of deaths and handicaps. It can be caused by different
factors. What are the main causes of this dangerous phenomenon and
what are its consequences?
CAUSES :
-DISTRACTED DRIVERS :
Among the causes, we notice that many traffic drivers don't pay
enough attention while they are driving.Sometimes the drivers take off
their hands of the wheel, so as to turn the radio station, send text
messages or eat a sandwich, increase their risk of causing traffic
accidents.
- DRUNK AND TIRED DRIVERS :
Drivers under the effect of wine cause traffic accidents, because they
are not able to react in some driving situations. Certain drugs and
prescribed medecine taken by drivers can also affect their ability to
drive. When the driver is exhausted (very tired), he can be another
cause of traffic accidents. Driving while tired can result in drivers
not paying attention to vehicle speed, allowing the vehicle to drift
over road lines.
- WEATHER CONDITIONS :
The weather is another factor causing traffic accidents. Like rain or
snowstorms can decrease the visibility of drivers and cause them dangerous accidents. Driving through thick fog too fast may not allow
drivers enough time to stop when approaching another vehicle. Road
conditions as a result of the weather can cause roads to become slick
and slippery, such as after ice storms and heavy rains, which may
cause vehicles to slide, then the driver can't control it.
EFFECTS OF TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS :
Traffic accidents can cause physical, financial and mental effects for
everyone involved. Drivers and passengers can suffer from different
injuries and even death. Vehicles in traffic accidents are damaged and
may be in need to be repaired. In addition to this, traffic accidents
can include emotional and mental distress as people can suffer from
stress, either by being involved in the accident or by the death of a
loved person.

  1. Indeed, traffic accidents in our days have become more threatening to our lives than death itself, so both drivers and pedestrians must take more precaution!
